BIB COLLECTION & START
All registered runners will receive a race bib with their assigned competition number. Runners will be able to collect their bibs from the Lancelin beach start from 6:00 am on Saturday 13 January. All relay runners must collect their bibs from the Lancelin beach start prior to 7:30am.
12km solo runners will start at 7:30am with relay runners starting at 7.40am.
Whilst there is no mandatory kit list for this run we do recommend you bring the following:
1. 500ml of water – there is one water aid station along the course at 6.5k however, due to the time of year it is likely to be hot therefore for slower runners we advise taking additional water.
2. Cap or visor – again due to the location of the run the exposure to the sun is high and there is no shade along the course so we recommend you wear/ bring a visor or cap.
All registered runners will be timed with an electronic timing system with times recorded on crossing the mid point and finish line. Timing chips will be attached to a Velcro strap to be worn on the ankle at all times while on course. Timing chips are coded to your assigned race number so please ensure you do not swap chips. Relay runners are to swap chips with their relay partner at the mid point and all chips will be collected on crossing the finish line.
A bag drop service will be provided from the start and midpoints. All bags dropped at the Lancelin Event Village bib collection prior to 7am and the mid point prior to 8am will be transferred to the Ledge Point Finish and be available for collection at the timing chip collection point.
Please clearly label your bag with your name and bib number so you can collect it after the race.
